Vision Issues While Pregnant

Vision Disturbances during pregnancy May Be A Sign Of Preeclampsia

Problems with your vision during pregnancy may be a sign of a more serious condition called preclampsia.  Preeclampsia normally occurs after 20 weeks and is characterized by high blood pressure.

Signs of preeclampsia:

  • Temporary loss of vision
  • Light sensitivity
  • Blurry or double vision
  • Seeing spots or flashing lights

If you experience any of these more severe vision problems, contact your doctor immediately.
